15-Year-Old Dog Cries As Owner Leaves Her Behind And Walks Out With Young Dog
If there was ever a more heartbreaking look on the face of a dog, it had to be Cookie’s as the 15-year-old Cocker spaniel watched her family walk out of the San Bernardino City Shelter on December 30 - leaving her behind.
“Wait - you forgot me,” Cookie cried as they left.
And in those terrible moments, Cookie watched and whined as her former family left with the young black Labrador retriever who accompanied them while Cookie was thrown away like a pair of old shoes and left at the shelter.
A volunteer writes, “Cookie is crying for her buddy and her family. She watched as the family drove away with her buddy and left her to die.”
“Surely Cookie deserves better than the family who left her at the shelter simply because she’s old.”
